Hot Power Arms – Wapens was founded in 1988 by Albie van Rooy, a visionary whose unwavering commitment to safety, responsibility, and empowering clients still shapes the heart of our business today. Albie dedicated his life to building more than just a firearms supplier—he forged a trusted community resource, grounded in ethical values and genuine passion. Though Albie sadly passed away in 2019, his legacy lives on vibrantly through his son, Jacques van Rooy, who now leads the company with the same drive and dedication. Jacques honours his father’s vision by preserving the personal touch, deep expertise, and community spirit that have always set Hot Power Arms apart.

Carrying forward the proud legacy of his father, Albie van Rooy, founder of Hot Power Arms in 1988, Jacques van Rooy leads the business with the same unwavering passion and commitment. Albie, whose visionary spirit established Hot Power Arms as a respected name in the industry, sadly passed away in 2019. Still, his dedication to excellence and responsible firearm ownership lives on through Jacques.
With over three decades of hands-on experience as a lifelong hunter and decorated sports shooter, Jacques continues to uphold the values his father set forth. His approach is rooted in expert knowledge, transparent guidance, and a deep belief in customer education, community, and safe ownership. Specialising in classic firearms and long-range precision rifle setups, Jacques ensures that every aspect of Hot Power Arms reflects both his and his father’s enduring vision for the business.
